State and Federal Requirements

🔹 Food Safety Certification – At least one employee must be certified in food safety through an approved examination, while all other food-handling employees must obtain a Food Handler Card.

🔹 Vehicle Classification – Mobile food trucks and trailers may be classified as “commercial modulars” by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
